The Map of Langkawi to the side illustrates the part of Langkawi where your shared Stardust cruise departs from. The South West corner of the Langkawi map (bottom right) is the direction of winds in the South West monsoon. As you can see the area circled is on the other side of the island making your cruise on flat seas during the time when the wave action is greatest (May - November).
Transfers take about 10 minutes from Kuah town (hotels Westin, Bayview, Bella Vista for example and Chogm Villa Langkawi appartment). From the 4 Seasons Langkawi and Tanjung Rhu resorts they take about 15 minutes. From the Berjaya Beach and Spa Resort, Mutiara Buarau Bay, the Danna, the Langkawi Sheraton , Langkawi Lagoon and Tanjung Sanctuary transfers take around 25 minutes. From Cenang hotels and chalets (Meritus Pelangi Hotel, Casa Del Mar, The Cabin, AB motel, White Lodge, and Sunset Beach Resort).

Cenang is the most "happening" area to enjoy evenings at local beach bars listening to reggae music so this writer feels it is the best choice for tourists who like to get out from their hotel in the evening and go a bit "Troppo"! Pelangi is also close to Senari Bay not so far from The Cabin Langkawi chalets and just down the road from The Casa Fina and White Lodge Motel

Langkawi Map to Casa Del MarCasa Del MarCasa Del Mar is in the heart of Cenang. It has its own motor cruiser to sell so you need to ask for a Stardust cruise and brochures will miraculously appear. Casa Del Mar is also close to Casa Fina and The Cabin chalets.
